What exactly do you mean by a "compulsion to learning REAL HARD"?

My first suggestion would be a library.
Also, bookstores.

I feel like there's something to your question that I'm not "getting," though.

I keep wanting to write "the library" as well, but I'm going to try and give you the benefit of the doubt with this. A lot of universities publish reading lists online. Look for universities offering similar programs, look for reading lists, uh...read the books on them?
