Chevron seven is locked and LeapGate is open for business. Sam and Rodney agree that some magic of science will allow the 'gate to be open much longer than the usual 38 minutes and you have until March 3rd to write comment!fic.

Sam rested with her head against the cool transparant wall of the bridge, watching the optical effect of hyperspace with unfocused eyes. Even at the speeds the Asgard ships traveled, it was still going to take a few hours to return to Earth

Thor is sneakily perceptive, sometimes. Which, you know, is probably a good thing for a Supreme Commander. And poor Sam - possibly the most frustrating thing ever for her, not being able to understand something. Very sweet.

I think TBTP really could have used that frustrating technological gap a little more, sometimes. Oh, well. Allowances must be made so we get happy endings.

It's so supremely obvious Thor is in love with Sam. :-D
