::melts into an absolute puddle::

Abyssis, you MUST write more Sha'uri. You give her the most marvelous voice, you know that?

Love the handwave of how old she is, in a society where fifteen was probably considered spinsterhood. Love Daniel's stumbling language. Love the backstory, and the gift to Jack, and its return. LOVE.

(and yeah, the Sam/Daniel one was cute, too!)

I've never really written her before this meme so yay to her sounding right to your ears!

(also, wow, I post Sha're and you are Right There to pounce on it :) )

So glad it worked - and, yeah, Daniel isn't likely to be fluent yet and so glad it worked. It was tricky trying to figure out all Sha'uri must be thinking that night with everything that happened - the marriage and Ra dying and her dying and coming back and all.

(thanks)

so glad you liked 'em!

Seconded, absolutely. Sha're is one of the coolest characters in Stargate, and so few people write her or write her well. The world needs more well-written Sha're!

She is proving very fun to write. I certainly wouldn't mind more plot-bunnies from her :)

So glad you liked it though, and thanks!

(and, yes, the world does need more of her!)

Thanks!
I really wish canon had given us more about the Abydos culture. But it's fun to play :)

I like your twist on Sha'uri and how she wanted Daniel--wasn't an unwilling gift. The bond between Jack and Sha'uri is very nice.

I also like Teyla's conversation with Sam. You have their voices very well.

Thanks! I think she was...curious. Not necessarily eager for a husband, but somehow could feel her destiny tying with his and felt drawn to him in ways she couldn't explain but knew needed to happen - at least in this universe, if that makes any sense.
Glad the thing with Jack worked - they don't actually interact onscreen very much.

Yay Teyla and Sam!

Thanks again!

Oh! That wasn't what I expected at all, but I really liked it, particularly the backstory you gave Sha're.

Honestly, it wasn't what I expected either, and then it just sortof came out, you know?
So glad you liked it and the backstory worked! You know there had to have been WAY more depth to Abydos than the show ever gives us.

(I am curious what you were thinking of expecting, just out of idle curiosity but I know sometimes that's really hard to verbalize)

I think I was expecting something during the period when Sha're was Goa'ulded, or something AU--something about that period in her life, anyway. It seemed to fit the necklace, the way the stone was encased in silver. But I did like this very much!
