OMGAWD.

Of COURSE they take forever to finally get here. Thriving off of waiting and innuendo and banter and all that good stuff that makes them them.

Bah, so good! LOL. I'm curious as to how things will change and how their body language will change in the office after this. Probably for the better, or for a little while, just a little disgusting. I fully expect Mike to call Harvey out on this while Rachel will just grin and then demand details. And those two will quietly smirk and offer NOTHING. LOL.

I heart your fic. So so good.

Did you see my response to talking about Rachel and Mike the other day? I'm totally willing to chat about them, since I don't really have anyone to chat with them about. Just so you know!

:)

I was talking to somebody about whether or not we thought Harvey was in love with Donna, and the short answer was, no, at least he didn't realize it yet, and I just really, really wanted fic where it hits him out of nowhere and they just sort of fumble around it for a while before it happens. I JUST WANT THEM TO GET TOGETHER SO BADLY ( ... )

I hesitate to say "no" in regards to Harvey being in love with Donna. I don't think he's aware or it, like, I wouldn't say he's in love with her, but at the same time, I wouldn't say he's not in love with her. They're clearly BFFs with constant sexual tension. LOL ( ... )

I'm happy to live with BFFs with sexual tension for right now. I just hope the writers have the balls to go there eventually because I don't like wasting my time on OTPs that aren't endgame. I also think that it will definitely have to be him initiating it in the future, because Donna knows not to push, knows that he can't be pushed simply because he doesn't allow himself to be out there in that much of a vulnerable position. Ugh. Their relationship is so deep and complicated, I could seriously write like a dissertation on it. It's ridiculous ( ... )

Mmm I love this! I've been rewatching the season from on demand and I think the timing was perfect for this fic. When Jessica asks him on the stand how he can be so damaged to believe that caring makes you weak, it made me realize that Harvey would never admit to loving Donna even to himself. Oh he trusts Donna and Jessica, he take care of and defends them in his own broken way, but straight out tell them what they mean to him - he learned far too well from his mother never to be that vulnerable. And Zoe was smart enough to know that he would never be capable of that trust with her. Hartman's comment that it will be Harvey in ten years after Jessica's job really said more about Hardman than Jessica - he may screw around and disappoint her, but he's always going to be defending her in the end, because she gave him everything, just like Donna rescued him from Cameron and gave him a reason and a way to escape losing his soul and integrity.

Anyway I really love how Donna waits for Harvey in this fic- it's total cognitive behavior therapy where she waits for the actions of being in love, making himself vulnerable to her, treating her as a romantic partner etc instead of letting him cut the corner with seduction. Donna is manipulative enough to pull off Harvey making these behavior changes because he wants her and it's worth it to him - too bad he doesn't notice where this is leading him. She's not making him change or forcing a declaration but just nudging him into wanting it for himself. Love love your characterization of both of them and I will happily read anything you write for these two.

YES! This is exactly how I want it to happen, because she wouldn't want him to change, at all, because he's Harvey, and what's the point if he is no longer that person, but she would guide him in the right direction without applying any pressure. Of course, it is going to take us forever to get to that point, but hopefully it'll be much worth the wait!

And expect more from me soon! I am totally infatuated with these two.

OH. You bring up such excellent points. I've been thinking a lot about it lately, about how incredibly screwed up he is. How his mother monumentally screwed him up, and his father tried to fix that, tried to love him enough for both of them, but it doesn't matter because once some things break, they can never be repaired (at least this is my head!canon). I see his relationship with Jessica as very motherly/son, albeit very dysfunctional; he's looking for that self-worth from her that he never received form his own mother, whereas his relationship with Donna is more... I don't know what word I'm looking for here. Just for him? He depends on her so much - in both his professional and personal life - and that kind of worries me, that maybe he'll never, ever get to the point where he feels like it's worth risking that to pursue whatever relationship they may have ( ... )

Gods, HOW do you write them so well?!

This is wonderful, you do such a good job with the characters and truly making this feel like Harvey and Donna. I can absolutely see this happening this way, and I love it so much. Well done.

I just love them so much. It's like I just vomit my feelings into fic? IDK. All I know is I cannot stop. It's a sickness. Seriously.

Thank you for reading! I am so pleased that you liked this.

I actually quit because this is the most amazing thing that I have ever read.

Don't quit! This fandom needs more writers!

But, in all seriousness, that is quite a compliment! It was my first time writing Harvey's POV, so I was a little nervous as to whether or not it would hold up. Thank you so much for reading!
