I'm still alive! Hidradenitis tried to steal my quality of life from me, but I didn't let it. And now, I'm one surgery away from freedom for my armsies! :-D
I got the call from the surgical coordinator this week that they had an opening in the Main OR, so I'm all set to go in on Tuesday morning to get my final surgery done - ( Read more... )

What good books have you read recently?

Urban Decay is awesome! Their eye pencils are the best I've ever seen. They go on smooth, and once they set they do not budge no matter what. Gotta take em off with waterproof makeup remover. And the colors are ahhhhmazing! They do gift sets every Xmas (which is how I got into them years ago). You should check them out. :-D
And their eyeshadows are like butta! Best texture of any shadow I've swatches (and I am a makeup junkie so I've swatches a lot!!!). The pigmentation is insane. I don't think any brand touches them on that point. And the colors are just gorgeous. Even their neutrals are lovely and funky and edgy. I own other brands (smash box, Mac, The Balm, etc), but I always come back to Urban Decay. The value of the palettes is just ridiculous. Ridiculous I tell you!! ;-P LOL
As far as books, I've been mostly reading deals I've found on Amazon for Kindle format since I've been stuck in bed. But I haven't been able to focus on anything really intense, so it's been mostly silly historical romance novels ( ... )

I'm not good with a lot of eye makeup, plus I sometimes run out of time and I only use the foundation, powder, and blush... and sometimes I skip the blush. LOL
I have books, bought a few recently, but haven't really read them. Haven't had much of a desire to read lately.
I'm going to start on some Batman comics myself, though the ones I want and having my comic book dude save for me are Riddler centric. I love The Riddler. XD And - don't even start on me about the Affleck crap. My favorite superhero of all time is being demoted simply by this Affleck dirt bag play playing him!
Book recs? Hmm... well I have this list that I started doing in March of the books I've read this year. I forgot one so I need to add a third installment and one of the books listed is part of a trilogy - Johannes Cabal The Fear Institute. I definitely recommend the Cabal books ( ... )
