On Being Taught The Obvious

Hi.  I haven't posted here before.  I'm an INFP who's highest Jung type feature comes out as N (and consequently lowest feature is S).  This isn't only true in personality tests, this comes out consistently in day to day life.

On the advice of ramsey_sitc I post.

This was a topic I posted to the _infp_ community:I feel like no one ever bothers to tell me about ( Read more... )

apologies ahead of time for excessive lengthiness.

i'm an ENTP. i score incredibly high on the N scale for almost every single MB test that i've taken. it's usually around 90%-ish. this shows much in my daily interactions. at school, i've always had trouble seeing how some people couldn't understand certain concepts that seem so blatantly obvious to me. on the other hand, other people often label me as "ditzy" because i seem to them so "out of it" in normal conventions ( ... )

1. I find that being in control of the touch makes it easier to except. I'm never going to like being touched suddenly by strangers, but I do well enough with friends that they didn't know I had an issue until I brought it up.

2. I used to get that too. I have cultivated a "posative neutral" face. This expression is abstracted but includes a slight smile. I use it when I'm thinking, so people don't keep interrupting my thoughts. I do it so much I no longer really think about it. I also put it on as I go into work, since it generally makes a good impression.

It's a roshache test really. People read stuff into a blank expression. An ex-boyfriend of mine used to always get people thinking he was angry when he was thinking about Math. (He was a big guy and physically intimidating to other guys, but in RL a total pussycat).
