I am far too exhausted to write a full and complete account of this week, so this will be the bare bones version. Maybe. It's well documented (especially in this blog) that "short versions" are seldom so

Why did it take 5 days for them to find out she had a collapsed lung and everything?? Isn't that something they usually check for right away with broken ribs, especially after something like falling off a horse? I am so glad she's going to be okay!
Is GR where you're moving from? I'm moving there in the fall as part of my program with Ferris. Any advice of places to go or avoid? I'll be living at Greenridge off Alpine.
The accident was last Saturday and she refused to go to the ER.. it just felt like a really bad bruise or something. Monday she went to the chiropractor and he took x-rays before he adjusted her, which is when we found out about the 3 broken ribs. She couldn't get in to see her regular doctor til Tuesday and they took more chest x-rays, re-confirmed the broken ribs, then sent the x-rays to a radiologist. She was in pain, but had been taking vicodin & flexeril around the clock (I kept track & administered them). She was having trouble breathing, but that is to be expected w/ 3 broken ribs

Yikes, that is so scary. I'm glad to hear it wasn't some case of doctor negligence or something.
I'm excited/scared about moving to GR. It's technically temporary, just for the year, but it's the first time I'll be living alone and I'm afraid I'm going to be lonely. I have lots of friends though so I prolly won't but I still never thought I would live alone, I'm a very social person.
I'm very social too, but after having lived with roomies and alone I MUCH prefer living alone. I can have people over or go out as I please and I don't have to worry about whether or not it's bothering someone else as I am Queen of the Castle (if a "castle" means the same thing as "studio apt.", haha)! ^_^*
