Woke up this afternoon (yes, afternoon) to receive the news that my mother has broken three ribs when she was thrown from her horse on Saturday. I went over to stay with her yesterday, she was on ice & muscle relaxers all afternoon/evening, but refused to go to the doctor. So, this morning she goes to her chiropractor & gets x-rayed. You know your mother loves you when she calls to make sure that you didn't fall into the lake.

By "dragon", I mean "migraine".. and I didn't so much slay it as it did me, but I did survive it. Eight solid hours of agonizing pain, magnified light and sound, paired with constant nausea and intermittent vomiting.
