I've never felt this sad about getting a call from my manager saying I didn't have to come in today before. I usually felt happy because that meant I got more time for myself, etc. But this is like the second time this week and I'm actually stressed about this. Less shifts means less income meaning less money for my tuition and spending stuff I get

but that's strange don't you have a regular work schedule? like, can you just not go like that? because in the store i work, regardless of the number of clients we have we all need to show up :S

Yeah, it's Dairy Queen. It gets really slow during the winter so the manager just gives us a call and asks if someone doesn't come in so that the people already on so that there's more to do I guess. That and if you have all your staff working at DQ you lose more money than make any so...it makes sense I guess.

But yeah, I enjoy my job so it sucks to have two shifts cancelled this week. ):
