He wasn't backing down from his previous assessment of this escapade.

This was a bad idea.

Reversing the plane's properties to normal or not made little difference to him; it was still a bad idea. Because, his concerns did not stem from the fire plane and the physical issues within Nuadoria, but from the involvement of having to "agree" to terms with the Fire Magister. Truthfully, Roxas wasn't very fond of any of the Magisters from what he'd seen, and he didn't really find himself feeling much more trust of the Fire Magister's opposite, either. So, it wasn't out of fondness for "the other side" that rooted his distrust towards Dai firmly, although he could at least sympathize with Caim and Ava on some level if the other had to deal with him on a regular basis. Something just didn't settle right. The words were innocent enough, but it was just ( ... )

Luke coughed as he approached the others, arm over his mouth. Not exactly the best way to make an entrance, but one way or another, they'd all be in this together...well maybe except for Dai. It bothered him that Fire Magister wasn't going to go with them.

It bother him more each time he thought about it. He frowned some. Dai didn't seem like someone who'd lead them into a trap-

Neither did Master Van a voice echoed in his mind. He stopped, eyes fixed on Roxas. He didn't look comfortable; an obvious sign of distrust. Luke swallowed. This was looking less good by the second. The only encouraging thing he had seen so far was that Asch was on Dai's list. It couldn't have been an obvious trap if Asch was going.

Luke took another step toward them and tried to brush the worry off for now. He had to have courage, "You guys here to go to the Cherubium or whatever it is?"

Reno approached the library in the slow, deliberate steps of someone who wasn't entirely confident he had made the right decision in coming along. It hadn't really been a direct order from Tseng; the other Turk probably wouldn't have suggested Reno for the mission if he hadn't insisted. Why Reno thought this was going to prove some point of his, he didn't know. At the time, he... well, he didn't really remember what he had been thinking, but he didn't want to see Dai get away with whatever he had planned. Yet there Reno was, putting blind faith in a man who would be happy to reclaim ownership of him if he got the chance ( ... )

"I think," Zack exclaimed as he practically bounced up the steps of the library towards the group and past them, "that after this we need to have a party. With balloons. And cake." For someone who wasn't sure what to expect just like the rest of them, he sure was exceedingly optimistic. At least Kairi didn't have to worry about keeping the entire group somewhat uplifted by herself ( ... )
