Kairi waited by the entrance of the library. As fearful as she’d been when it happened, she was nearly used to the fire plane, to the point that she wondered if it could really be reversed so easily. The air was cleaner here, but the thick scent of ash that filtered in with the wind and settled in her lungs, causing her to cover her mouth and cough.
She still wasn’t sure what they were supposed to do or how they were supposed to do it when they got there, but it was comforting to know she wasn’t alone. As much as she wanted to help, to prove that she could do more than wait for everyone to save her, she was thankful that she had the support of her friends. This was the first time she’d taken the initiative and insisted to be a part of the group who was going to return the city to the state it had been before. Riku and Roxas hadn’t been as optimistic as Kairi, but she was confident that everything would be fine as long as they were together.
Ritsuka was coming too, along with the others... They’d fix everything. It really wasn’t so bad, was it? Nobody had been hurt, and the Fire Magister had insisted that they wouldn’t need his help once they had directions.
With a reassuring smile that hid any doubts she had, she turned to the others.
“Is everyone here? Should we go?”
