That was simply - it should have been - impossible.
There was a movement in the corner of his eye. His body remained unmoving, gun trained at a distance, but his bright green eyes dragged across, dragged slowly over to where another stood. He looked as though he'd just arrived himself, no doubt drawn to the source of the commotion. A potential threat? He could have been, anyone else in that area could have been drawn for any number of reasons; combat, concern, mere human curiosity. A desire to detain him. Gale himself wasn't certain of why he was there, after all; it had just felt... appropriate.
He raised his hand, gestured to get the other man's attention. A direct invitation over.
Whatever his reasons, they should discuss.

Luc slammed a hand down on those marks, seeing the way the gusts, invisible to others, flowed away. Control. He still had control, although it was rather like hanging onto the edge of a precipice in the middle of a howling hurricane.
Damn Rune. Damn Rune. He’d been so close to destroying it. So very close. And all of those had slipped through his fingers, torn from his grasp by ignorant fools who did not understand…
And now it raged within him again, but something was holding it back. He closed his eyes, fighting to think above what sounded like continuous screaming in his mind.
