Theatre that's not in New York

I followed a rumour that there were shows in other places, namely Toronto. So last ngiht I went to see the opening night of The Drowsy Chaperone, fresh on tour and starting here, where it originated.

They've recreated the set entirely, and Bob Martin and Georgia Engal, from the original Broadway production are both here, though Bob is only staying

We've always had theatre, but for the last 10-12 years the large productions were always managed by David Mirvish, and I rarely agreed with his choices (though he did bring Wicked twice, but turned down a standing production :( ) But this new company seems to have a better idea of what to bring and that there needs to be some give in prices and such. They're bringing us Avenue Q, My Fair Lady, Spelling Bee, Jersey Boys and 3 Mo Divas. I'm only going to My Fair Lady for sure, but if Ave Q and Spelling Bee have rush/lotto/discount, I'll do those as well. Anyway, I like their attitude better than Mirvish's.

Hmm, I suppose the arts are not priotity, which is such a shame because New Orleans and the area have always had such a vibrant arts life.

Haha okay, a day on from this comment, I realise just how scary that is...she's not even on my flist! LMAO. No, she's BFF with sadlilserenade and there are frequent comment convos with her, so I took a wild stab and I guess came out on top? Not only did you manage to find a Julia fan, but an RPF fan as well! XD

Lucky you, seeing Drowsy in Toronto! I'm more jealous of that than your recent hi-jinks in NYC ;) I'm taking a break from my sick-bed (well, actually my sofa with my blanky *strokes*) to ask - any chance of audio/or even - duh-duh-duh!! Video? from Drowsy Toronto with Bob?

I ask, not simply because my g/f is obsessed with Drowsy, but also because we kindof-sorta-promised Bob (when he was in London) that we would come over to see him open the Tour :(

And now that's not going to happen, because I'm too ill & we have no money (yet). Still hoping to do Broadway again later on, but there will be no Bobert :( I will trade most unfairly for any good audios of Toronto if you can get 'em. I'd even pay you if I had any money...lol.
