I'm delegating responsibilities to department heads... they're in charge of their divisions. All I have to do is coordinate the departments, field information and calls, ensure that everyone is following protocol, maintain communication with officers and encourage them to remain in contact with each other, and figure out how to make this public enough for people to stay safe without causing a panic or making it widely known that we're currently without a chief of police.
If they're like you, maybe. [There's just a weeee bit of condescension in her voice. You try not feeling a little superior sometimes when you helped create the world.] Locks can be veryvery tricky for some humans, but not all. And if it's not human...WELL! Who cares about a silly piece of metal in a silly piece of wood?
Most of the criminals in the City are human-like in most respects, including their inability to move through doors. Unless you can defend yourself, you should consider finding a door to stay behind.

Don't worry about me. I'll be safe. You've got enough to focus on. You must be so nervous. Just...if there's anything I can do, I'll be there.
Do you have menus for take out at the station?

One from every place that serves food in the City, I think.

Which... is almost yes, I think.

Locks and walls won't help, you know. They'll huff and they'll puff and they'll blow your house down.

They'll help. Criminals who choose victims at random tend to select easily accessible ones... a lock can do a lot to deter them.
