If they're like you, maybe. [There's just a weeee bit of condescension in her voice. You try not feeling a little superior sometimes when you helped create the world.] Locks can be veryvery tricky for some humans, but not all. And if it's not human...WELL! Who cares about a silly piece of metal in a silly piece of wood?
Most of the criminals in the City are human-like in most respects, including their inability to move through doors. Unless you can defend yourself, you should consider finding a door to stay behind.
[Oh, Zia could never be a member of the police. Far too many rules, far too many human customs. But since she will pull her switchblade on anyone she sees hurting someone innocent, she thought it would be right to offer.]
[He kind of has one! Zia has decided that she likes him, which means anyone trying to hurt him will get a switchblade to some uncomfortable part of their anatomy.
Zia HOWLS with laughter. In fact, she is quite literally rolling on the ground, laughing...well, okay, her ass is still on, but she is rolling on the ground laughing hysterically.]
Locks and walls won't help, you know. They'll huff and they'll puff and they'll blow your house down.

They'll help. Criminals who choose victims at random tend to select easily accessible ones... a lock can do a lot to deter them.

[Her voice is legitimately concerned. If she were actually with Justin, she'd probably start poking at his ears.]
