We will never know, unless someone tries.

If the network is any indication, at least one person has tried. They apparently found themselves at home.

Why don't you try?

Truly? Hard to believe. Why would they still have their network devices at all! No one before sent greetings when they left the City.

Perhaps I will, perhaps I won't. Still waiting.

No one who was dead in the City has ever returned home, either. If current circumstances can allow for one impossibility, they may admit others.

Waiting?

I'm scared.

Let's stick together. No matter what. Even if we're wrong.

I don't want to die. I don't want you to go back to--

I'll go where you go... or stay, as the case may be.

How far do you think we can trust someone who isn't affiliated with the deities?

Good. Very good.

The deities aren't trustworthy... I don't know. My home isn't very pretty. Or nice. But it'd be better than it all just ending.

I don't want it to end.

That really seems like the question of the day.

Have you found an answer to it?

If he apparently helped to build the city, and is responsible for the wild attacking carousel animals, I can't say that I trust him all that much.

The builder isn't necessarily responsible for what is built. He could have been commissioned.

I don't think this is an issue of trust. I think it's determining whether or not the potential gain is worth the potential risk.

Are you so sure I'll be coming back?

I think I know what's just another game when I see one.

Likely.

If it's not a game, though--

It's worth a try.

Thank you, Emma.

I'm not sure how lucky this is.
