The hair thing and the swamp monster lived happily ever after.  Good for them.  Are these the 'higher ups' people talk about--the powers above the deities?  If so, I don't fully understand why we haven't staged a coup.

Yesterday was the best Mother's Day I've been through.  Draw what conclusions you will from that.

It didn't. Any teenager would be happy to have my mother. She's wealthy, oblivious to me, apathetic about my use of her credit card, my performance in school...

She was a perfect mother.

Quite well. All things considered, the weekend was more pleasant than it could have been.

I'm not sure. But-- she said, that she's the one who keeps the dead people from being... really dead.

I don't know. But maybe they're the only thing keeping the deities from being even worse than they already are.

...I'd rather start with the deities first. Maybe if we dealt with them, those two would let us stay here in peace.

Maybe they're the ones who bring us here. The deities clearly have no control over the City itself... only the curses.
