Some of the people I'm friended with aren't exactly people I've ever met or am likely to ever hang around with. But a majority are people that I actually know and do/have interacted with in real life. So they can be considered friends (or at least acquaintances) while the others are people that I'm "friended with".
Considering that I don't have all that many friends compared to some people, I'm comfortable in my monkey sphere.

I honestly don't add people just on a whim on FB, or FL, or anything else like that unless I do know you in RL. Just adding everyone and anyone you meet etc, seems to me just like being a "collector" of sorts
