Our puppies were 7 weeks old yesterday, and we will pick out our specific puppy this Saturday and can bring him home next Wednesday...although we have to wait until Saturday the 20th because I am presenting at a conference in Pittsburgh next Thursday through Saturday and Nate's hours are so sucky that we can't just leave him at home alone ( Read more... )

A woman I kind of know came up to me tonight when I was out to dinner after a really crappy day and told me the following:

"I just wanted to tell you that you look gorgeous. If I had lost all that weight, I would be so happy! You really look fantastic!"

That made my day.

I thought no one noticed.

I am 25 today!

The next time I write in here, I will be Mrs. Nathan Barnes. It sounds so good to say that, and I can't believe I get married tomorrow!

Things here are ok. I am alive but busier than I can explain. I pick up my wedding dress tomorrow. Nate graduates in 4 days. I get married in 10 days...

Life is good, but hectic. I will post more when life settles back down!
