Wow, Ben! That's so awesome on the job and yay for having fun with Jori! She sounds really cool, and I can relate her being an art history nerd - my parents are both history fanatics and my mom loves anything in art, so when I was little, she used to drag me and my brother and expose us to as many art museums as possible. I'm not as fanatic as my mom is, but art of all kinds and its history can be pretty fascinating. My favorite places to visit are the Orlando Museum of Art and the Metropolitian Museum of Art in NYC.

If you seriously want to impress her, I highly recommend flying up with her to NYC to see that museum someday - if she hasn't been there already. It is really cool.

I couldn't agree more; things have been changing for the better for you and you totally deserve it, hands down. ^_^

Thank you so much, Tina! Jori just seems to have a knack for the subject, and as studious as I'm capable of being, i'd never be able to hack it in that class. I love art, don't get me wrong, and can even discuss the technical apsects no problem, but I just don't have the memory or attention span to handle studying it in the depth that art history entails.

I'll keep that in mind about the Met, for sure. When she comes to visit Florida, I plan on taking her to the OMA and the Dali Museum in St. Pete. The OMA is a nice museum, however their contemporary exhibit seemed rather small when I was there. Their temporary exhibits however are worth keeping an eye on.

Cool, the Dali Museum! I can't believe I forgot to mention that one. She'll love that one. I know my brother and I did. That museum is really awesome, and that's an understatement.

Yeah, I remember trying to learn art facts and other things while I took an art class in middle school, but it was difficult and the tests weren't easy, making it difficult for me to grasp everything. I'd much rather learn neat facts and have fun in a real museum rather than stressing out over what I'm trying to learn in school.

Ah myspace... I can't believe you actually got one after this middle age mom did! Yes, I have one as well, if only as a lame attempt at being "cool". (not to mention the fact that my two older ones have one, and I had delusional thoughts of being able to spy on them....) Anyway, if you'd like to add to your freinds list, let me know. :)

Thank you! Yes I have to agree we make a cute couple (especially with me being a couple inches shorter than her >_<), and yeah we do have similar features. The upturned noses have already been noted by her very amused parents. lol.

Feel free to friend me if you'd like, although I don't generally socialize there (post comments, etc) like I do on LJ. New friends are always great however.
