Well, lots of things have been happening the past couple of weeks. First and foremost, I HAVE A JOB!!! I am now (almost) officially an employee of e-z-rent-a-car, working in their IT department. It's gonna be a push for the next couple of months getting things done, but I know it's gonna be worth it and turn out well. This is just the opportunity i've been waiting for and for quite some time too. I can't thank you enough, Mike.

Obviously, I'm back from TX and my visit with Jori. In a word, it was fantastic. It was a very affirming nine days for both of us, and I think both of us feel a lot more secure about the long term aspects of our relationship now. I also had the opportunity to meet her family and her close friend Jessica, and thankfully, they all seemed to approve of me. I, of course, approve of and get along with all of them as well. While I was there, we did a lot of lazing around getting to know one another, obviously, but not the entire time. One night, we went out to dinner at On The Border and to see a movie, Mr. Brooks, with her close friend Jessica. Then a day or so after that we celebrated her little sisters fifth birthday, at the local pool. We also spent a day with her sister at Chuck-e-cheese, for a private party. Then lastly and most importantly, we had our first true date. We both put on our nice clothes and spent the day in Fort Worth visiting the Kimbel and Modern art museums. We started at the Kimbel, ate lunch in their cafe (the food was very good) and then proceeeded to look around the museum, before heading across the street to the Modern. While the Kimbel was certainly a nice museum, I found the Modern considerably more interesting, if only cause Modern and Post-Modern are two of my favorite periods in art. Jori on the other hand is an art history nerd (althought she has trouble admitting the nerd part), so I'm sure she was equally intrigued by both. At the modern, we caught a temporary exhibit called Pretty Baby, which featured artwork by several contemporary artists including one i'm a fan of, Yoshitomo Nara. Seeing his pieces in person was very gratifying. Then after walking through the museums all day, we went to a local mall and had a lovely dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Then after a little bit of nervous searching at the airport, I made my way home to Orlando.

Outside of the above mentioned brilliant changes to my life, I made a scratch built myspace profile last week. I'm rather proud of it. Tonight, my family and I are going out to a celebratory dinner for me getting hired.

It's hard to believe that less than a year ago I was lamenting so many things, and as improbable as it seems ::knocks on wood:: my life has finally taken a turn for the better. :) Right now, I am a happy man.
