The past few weeks have been relatively uneventful, but the past few days are worth mentioning.

Sunday was my Dad's birthday so we went over to my sisters, had steak, gave gifts, etc. I got him a Charles Mingus anthology from Barnes and Noble (partly for him, partly for myself). He seemed to like it.

::watches:: Mann, now I really *do* have to get a Wii. Because ... I miss my Ocarina of Time and that's like re-living it, only 1000 times better.

Yeah my jaw was on the floor while watching most of that. Especially the boss battle at the end. That game looks like one of the best ones I've seen in a long time.

According to wikipedia, the Wii is tentatively being released sometime in the fourth quarter of 2006 and Twilight Princess is being released on the Wii, but they're also going to make a different version for the Gamecube. If you have to buy one though, I'd go with the Wii. The performance will be much better and it's supposed to be backwards compatible not only with Gamecube games, but also with hardware. The price would be higher than a gamecube obviously, but in the long run I think it would be a better deal.

Oh Nintendo, I will never stray again. Xbox was just a drunken fling, I promise.
