For some reason, my little ibook started doing grey-screen-of-death kernel panic every time I ran Safari for longer than 2-3 minutes.

Switched to Firefox. Has not happened since. Could not begin to tell you why that is, but am glad to not have to replace this sucker yet.

check out the event log after the frezzes also to see if it is throwing any errors at the time of frezze. i know you will have to reboot but after reboot check the event log first thing.

I've had one kernel panic in the entire time I've had my Mac. I had one end of a USB cable plugged into the side of my iBook, and accidentally dropped the other end into a cup of coffee. Instant seize, darkened screen, and a messaged telling me to power off and back on, written in about 9 languages. =)

Just now seeing this. I can sympathize.

Especially given that the major reason I'm just now seeing it is that I've spent the past week and a half of my spare time dealing with an XP problem, reinstalling the OS, and then dealing with all the problems THAT caused....
