Implantation doesn't even occur until 7-10 days after sex, so for cramping to occur the day he came home wouldn't be conception. Was there any type of protection used?

i had a very faint positive line when i tested too but sure enough i was pregnant. i also had cramping and was getting excited about getting my period but unfortunately i was just getting uterus cramps.

i'd be careful with the black cohosh because i know it can thin your blood and cause hemorraging especially if you do end up needing an abortion and plan to get one within the next few weeks. i tried to take it because it can cause your uterus to expell contents but only if in LARGE amounts and in those large amounts its toxic. one of my professors actually said you're more likely to end up harming yourself over giving yourself an abortion with black cohosh. try ginger tea, i usually drink that to get a sluggish period to come and it does within about two days afterwards. if that doesn't help then i'd try another test.

good luck! :)

also the cramping could've possibly been ovulation cramps, i get those as well.

It's hard to say how likely it is that you are pregnant without a lot of other information (e.g. how long your cycle is normally, what protection if any was used, what days you actually had sex, etc.)

If you had to strain your eyes to see the line, it's probably just an evaporation line, not a real positive.

I don't think you should freak out at this point. There's no particular indication that you are pregnant. Even if you have sex during the fertile part of your cycle there's still only about a 1 in 4 chance that you will get pregnant. The best thing to do is just wait to see if your period comes and/or continue testing. good luck!

When was the last time you had intercourse? If it was within the past 5 days you may still be able to prevent an unplanned pregnancy by taking emergency contraception. More info here: http://ec.princeton.edu/ The sooner EC is taken, the more effective it is.

The absolute soonest you can expect a positive pregnancy test result (if you are pregnant) is 10 days after intercourse. It can take up to 18 days, or very rarely even longer.

Okay, thank you everyone!

I took some pretty large amounts of black cohosh and vitamin C (12 capsules of cohosh in about 45 minutes, and 8 of C), and experienced severe muscle aches, an upset stomach, and a raging headache.

I won't EVER do that again. It took me all day to recover.

As for more information. No protection, because I am a raging MORON who forgot her ring.

We had sex on Sunday. That was the last time. We has sex when he got home on Saturday, and we had sex nearly every day, but he didn't always ejaculate (although I know that doesn't always matter).

How would I go about getting EC? How much does it cost? Do I need a perscription?

As for my cycle, honestly, it's a little off. It's between 28-35 days. My last period started Oct. 27-28.

If you're over 18, you should be able to get EC over the counter (no prescription needed) at most drug stores. Just call ahead and make sure they have it so you don't end up running all over town.
