Update on three books
Have been completing some books over the past few days, first Jerry Pinto's "Surviving Women", a collection of humorously written essays, which I must say makes one think in unexpected directions. Then completed "Final Reckoning" the new book by Sam Bourne, and have started with "Bourne Sanction", the new book in the Jason Bourne series.

More than an year since my last public entry on this blog. In between, have been busy with work including a change of job but apart from that, have posted some entries in some of the other blogs that I am maintaining and have jotted down a few private entries in this one including a few travelogues, which I intend to proof read, remove some ( Read more... ) -
Two good movies
Saw an excellent movie last weekend: "Divorzio all'italiana", a 1961 Italian comedy which won the Academy Award for the best original screenplay. Very well made and brilliantly enacted.
Saw "Johnny Gaddaar" yesterday, which is one of the better movies released in Bollywood in recent times. Taking the audience up one path, and then yet another twist ( Read more... ) -

Another year passes by
- Has been a calm (I would not call it boring) year which is now coming to a close. However, the next year seems to be exciting on several fronts.
- Completed reading "Omega Scroll" by Adrian d'Hage yesterday and started with "Templar Legacy" by Steve Berry

Going home...
Have been having a hectic time at work recently. All set to go on a week-long vacation on 20th October to Kerala. Will be back on 29th October. Expect to be stepping into pouring rains and of course the characteristic greenery all-round. -
Life as usual
A quick update, have been having a rather busy time recently.
- Saw Lage Raho Munnabhai on Opening Day..Excellent Movie.
- Read "Seven Ancient Wonders", a well-written book, supported by very good illustrations.
- Have been a regular visitor to the hospital for the last three weeks, with a fever et al....hopefully the sequence of specialists ( Read more... )

Holidays galore...
Lots of Holidays in August, not that it makes much of a difference as am in office on all non-statutory ones as usual. Saw "Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna" on Monday evening, at Hitech. A movie, stretched to its limits with just the songs and some excellent performances offering some solace in the nearly 200 minute saga ( Read more... )
