Katherine said something to me once which I promptly forgot about for two years. I remembered it a few days ago in relation to some of the limerence theorizing that has been going through my mind: is limerence really that unique ( Read more... )

Was that me?

Cause I believe that. I mean, that feeling of intense like can demand exclusivity. Full of jealousy that feeling is. You know, that "I want you to talk to ME!" demanding voice in your head that you know is unreasonable. Straight girls get it all the time, think it's attraction and get all bisexual. It's like a friend-crush. You like them SO much, but you probably wouldn't have sex with them. Would you? OMG, does this mean I'm a lesbian? Maybe I would but... I dunno, I like BOYZ!!! OMGLOLLOL!!!!1!

I fantasize about a zombie attack for about an hour a day at least. Does this mean that I have limerence for zombies?

My point wasn't about the expansiveness of limerence. On the contrary, it was about the common and familiarity of similar reaction, meaning limerence is not unique. Things like it, which are not limerence, are experienced all the time.

Are you a necrophiliac?
