I am so pale that I got a slight sunburn after sitting in the sun for literally 15 minutes today at lunch. SIGH. Seriously, people need to come hang out at the pool with me so I can stop being so pasty!

Very exciting mail today included:

- Invitation to M & W's wedding in June

- Letter notifying me of my cost-of-living raise at work (wahoo!)

- Newsletter from the Palatine Library

Color me excited!

Not only is it MAY (omg Summer Reading Club is practically here... ahhhh!!!!), but it is 63 degrees out! THIS is more like it, Spring. 

- I forgot how much I love Arrested Development. Oh, those crazy Bluths.

- Today's going to be ridiculously crazy. I have three programs, a school visit, and the dreaded programming meeting.

- But in a little over 9 hours, I will be back home catching up on my blogroll and DVR and finishing Water for Elephants (it is great! I love it!).

When I'm working on my blog, I most often listen to Bowling for Soup. I don't know why. It's just upbeat and fun and catchy. And I love it.

Also, I don't say this nearly enough, but I really love my little red laptop. I could definitely marry it and have little red laptop babies. Although Yahoo! Music Jukebox is on my List.

- I took Ava to the V-E-T this morning and she's doing okay. She's been peeing outside the box, so I have to drop her off tomorrow for a urinalysis. They couldn't do it today. But I'm just happy I don't have to mess with getting a sample from her myself like last time. That was NO FUN. They did give me some antibiotics. And hopefully she will be ( Read more... )

A few things...

I worked today. Yeah. We had two kids for Nursery Rhyme Time (two kids who had ALREADY COME to the one on Tuesday...). And we had three kids for Drop In Storytime. Urgh. But whatev. It was pretty busy. And I noticed that all but one of our Playaways is checked out. So yay!
