How I know when my cats are hungry
Ava, the voiceless one, stands guard by the food bowls. She sends forth Howie, he of the powerful meow, to cry incessantly until I dimly realize that maybe they need to be fed. I go into the room that used to be my office (and is now the cat room) and scoop some food into their bowls.
And the peasants rejoice. Huzzah! -
4-Day Weekend
What a lovely 4-day weekend this was.
I had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday with my family.

This morning I did some storytelling. I told "Coyote's Crying Song" to a group of homeschoolers. And when you're telling the story, you have to pretend to fall down.
Only I actually did fall down.

A different view
So, Friday night I rearranged the furniture in my apartment. The biggest changes are that I moved my little computer desk out into the living room and I moved my ginormous armchair into a corner by a lamp so I actually get decent light there and can read.

- I almost forgot to sign up for NaNoWriMo this year, but then I remembered that you can sign up after October 1. I am busier than I have ever been in my entire life, so this should be an interesting November (but I am very excited about my idea, so...)
