I always have a hard time explaining my job to people...somewhere at the intersection of paralegal, accountant and client-specific secretary. Handy NYTimes, however, has a lovely article on the Law Firm M&A boom that can give you a sense of what I do. Oh, and the partner from my firm that they quote? Yep...I work on his deals.
