Total Crap

Apr 02, 2007 00:27

So, on Monday, a construction truck thought it would be a plan to knock a rock into my car, so now from today until Wed/Thurs I am without a car so I can get the $750 damage repaired. I only have to pay $250 (rather than $500) cause the rock was knocked up from the ground rather than falling off the truck like the last time my car got damaged. ( Read more... )

I think the severe stabby pains are part of some screwed up virus cause two weeks ago my sister had them, then a week ago my mom did, and now yesterday I actually left work early because of them. Are you getting them in your abdomen kinda on the right side?

I actually lucked out a little this semester in that I can combine 2 of my final papers, but taking all W courses is something that should be avoided at all costs, not matter how much you need the credits.

I love when you post about cooking. I always makes me want to try making it too :D

Yeah, I know exactly what you mean by that "only class" thing. I swear, they must get together and scheme over cups of java in their evil secret teacher hideouts.

*shakes fist*

I hope that you get some money out of PennDot for that...total crap, as you said.

When I was at work the other day, one of the girls that had been interviewing for JET in Miami came in. Apparently, her interview was even worse than mine...they accused her of being "too pretty." They said that she would have to compensate for her beauty and work extra hard in Japan if she wanted to be taken seriously. WOW. I feel better that I'm not the only one that had a horrible experience in Miami. Maybe there's hope?!...

Let me know when you know! Oh, and feel better soon!

Wow, they sound like the devil down there!! You let me know, too. When did you hear last year? (Like, the date if you remember it!) I'm dying here.

They sent the letter on April 7th from New York and it arrived on the 10th in Wyoming. I've been told that some consulates are faster than others, and also that it varies from year to year.

Which CC is that you're working on? I'm just curious how far Japanese majors get through JSL...

Oh, and by the way, good luck with the remainder of our wait. I read that we're supposed to find out tomorrow, so... gah, I'm going crazy!

We finish JSL. We even go beyond the JWL books, and start using some strange JWL packets copied by our sensees. We could get a hell of a lot farther if we kept up the normal pace, but in third year, we only have 3 recitations a week instead of 5.

We are also required to take 1 advanced language course - either Japanese 4 (reading periodicals and shit) or Classical Japanese. I chose Classical cause I can take it at the same time as third year, and graduate earlier. We're reading the Hojoki in ye olde time Japanese. (In addition to Japanese culture classes both in and out of the department and an in-department writing credit). The major's like 52 credits or something.

The CC I referred to in this post is 30B1.

So, what about at your school?
