[Of course, the first thing Rebecca Crane's hand is going to seek is technology. She's attempted to dial Shaun's phone number, then William's, then, hell, even HQ's.
Nothing. Zilch. Bupkus.]
Ah, man.
[It's certainly cold and dark in here; that's only an issue when she sits up and the paper gown gaps. Then she sees the toe tag.]
SHIT. Desmond?

Bouna sera, signorina. Please remain calm. It is very unpleasant indeed but it cannot be helped now. However, I can walk you through the basics if you are willing.

The basics? I don't know if that's going to help me unless you can start out with the "why" and move to the "who" right after.

But we all arrived here just the same for whatever reason and are stuck here for now. If you go down the hall there will be a, ah, I apologize I cannot remember the name of the contraption but it will take you upstairs if you get in it and press the buttons. [He means the elevator, derp.] If you would like I can meet you with some clothes or you can walk across the way to one of the stores. There is no one here to object you taking what you need.

Aright, so there's an elevator at the end of the hall, and from there, I'll be able to get clothes. Good thing; this paper isn't going to fly anywhere.
[The picture wiggles a little as she stands up and starts walking cautiously, watching every step like Vidic himself is about to jump out at her. She doesn't bother being shy about the gown, but she's not flashing anyone. Seriously.]
Guess I'll meet you. I don't see anybody else. I'm Rebecca.

[Elevator. He'll remember that word.]
Bene. I will be there shortly. I am Giovanni, Signorina Rebecca. It is a pleasure to meet you though I wish the circumstances were more preferable.

I wish I wasn't meeting someone under mysterious circumstances without my clothes on, but I can't win 'em all. Nice to meet you, too.
Sounds great! I'll... be waiting here.

[A little while later Giovanni shows up with spare clothes in arms: some loose fitting pants and one of the ever so popular I-Heart-Abax t-shirts. It was the easiest set to grab without knowing her specifications and on a quick run at the nearest touristy store.
He kept his word and averted his gaze politely even as he approached holding out the clothes towards her.] Here you are for now, signorina.

I show up dead and the first guy I talk to is acting like a "gentleman". Crazy. You better be a good guy, or I'm gonna be disappointed.
[While she cinches the pants up--QUITE big on her--she makes some polite conversation. It's an inauspicious start, from her end.] Giovanni, and you're speaking Italian. I was in Italy for a while.

[He turns his back all the same once she has the clothes.]
Oh? And how did you like it?
Reply
Doing okay so far. But yeah, Italy... It's nice, I guess. Didn't see much other than Monteriggioni and Rome.
Reply
Monteriggioni? You went to Monteriggioni? It has been a such a long while since I've been... How is it faring?
Reply
Well, I mean, it's been rebuilt and modernized, but it's not like it was in the 1400s. When did you see it?
Reply
In the 1400s.

Sì. You must be of the Creed. I have met Desmond before. [Simple explanation for why he's not all perturbed by what is going on here. More or less.]

Man... Good to meet you, then. I can't even believe this! I made something that--eh, enough about me. Wow...
