[Stepping into the shoes of the Shadow Broker was one thing, but having to rebuild her network was another entirely. She had spent time setting up an entire new operation: papers hidden with information, pencils she had collected, parts from electronic devices that she had attempted to pull apart. Sure she had studied technology but she was starting to realise that she was not as well versed with human tech as she had thought previously. It was a shame she had yet to find a library of some sorts and operations manuals were not as helpful as she had thought they would be.

At least pulling apart appliances proved to be fascinating.

She needed to be more careful though, as she looks up quickly to see the council spectre. Liara kicked herself mentally that she should have known better then to let herself be distracted by the electronics considering the dangers but for now she had to play it off. Calm and cool.]

[He picks his way through the mess of disassembled electronics with care. At least Legion wasn't the only one making a mess of their home.] I'm afraid the apologies are mine to make, doctor. [There's a small space where he can stand close enough to speak conversationally with Liara and he takes it.] I should have contacted you beforehand. You'll have to forgive me, I was fairly excited to speak with you.

[He glances over his shoulder, takes in the mess.] Though... if you're busy, I could come back another time.

[He was excited! Well that was a good sign. She stands up to greet him proper, resting her hands at her side.] I'm not busy at all. Quite a bit of this can wait until another day. I'm still learning much about human technology.

I was hoping for a book, but I can't seem to find anything useful.

[She dusts her hands off on a pair of slacks she had found in some clothing store earlier on in her week.] Is there something I can help you with? [She hadn't seen him since she arrived. ...Oh goddess how long ago was that?]

[He folds his hands behind his back, picking his way around the room once again.] Actually, I was wondering if you would like to accompany me on a walk. An exploration of the city. It seemed like something you'd be interested in. And-[He stops, turning back to face her.-as I said, I was hoping to speak with you.

[He ducks his head, almost bashful as he continues.] When I was alive I was a... fan of your work.
