Stories about Paper: Hardcovers I

After a very long time, I finally got inspired to post about books again, thanks to the prettybooks  community. I'm starting up again with a book I wish everyone would read.

I looked it up and you are right, it is a bit expensive, but luckily, the library has it. Of course, I'm #8 of 8 holds. Looking at the number of pages though, I doubt if I'll get through it in three weeks.*_*

Well, if you check out the first volume The Timeless Way of Building, Alexander actually recommends that if you only have an hour to spend with the book it's better to skim it than to only read one chapter. All of the books are set so that you can read the headings and the italicized summaries while flipping pages as fast as you can so that you can get a sense of the whole and then go back and delve. *brilliant*

Ah! That's one of our all-time favourites here, too!!! Good onya, J! We've got multiple copies because we pick it up every time we see it second hand!

Personally, I want to roll around in it like a cat with catnip, so that sounds entirely reasonably to me.
