Scans of LIFE 2 & LIVE 2 (part 1: hyde)
I have shinies for you! This time, I'm trying a new approach and scanning these in bits. Shinies in this first part are hyde & L'Arc sections from LIFE 2, and hyde's live pictures from LIVE 2.
I will scan ken's, tetsuya's and yukihiro's parts and their live pictures hopefully sooner than later. There are certain birthdays coming up in this month. You should slap me if you don't get more shinies by then.
First some photos! It's a book within a shiny box within a special larcbox. These new books are a bit smaller size than the original LIFE & LIVE books, but I like how they continued with the same color theme. The paper is grainy which looks absolutely gorgeous in reality but is not very scanning-friendly. I tried to make the best of this, so if there's anything weird going on that's probably it.
LIFE 2: hyde in Mont Saint-Michel
"It took us four and a half hours by both train and car to get to Mont-Saint Michel from Paris. The first thing hyde says when we arrive is, 'It's cold so let's go back!' What? When we came all the way here at YOUR request? The staff are shocked by his words but in any case we start the photo shoot and before you know it he is saying 'Wow! This is amazing!' at the beautiful scenery. During the shoot he is taking photos with his iPhone. When we do a shot in front of a cross, he has his head down as he looks at his iPhone. Someone in the staff jokes that it looks like he's looking at a Bible instead of the iPhone so he crosses his heart and we get a photo of that." - staff diary from WORLD TOUR (L'facebook)
Can you spot the picture they're talking about? This section is full of awesome and braids and makes me want to visit that place.

LIFE 2: L'Arc~en~Ciel in New York
"The first place the band went was a mysterious theater that was built in a mixed European and Southeast Asian style. tetsuya saw a podium upon stage and leaped up there to shout, 'Yes we can!' The members had to climb a long flight of stairs to get to the top floor for the photo shoot. hyde stopped halfway up and whined, 'I can't go any further! Somebody pull me up!' Somebody in the staff bluntly replied, 'We have seven more flights of stairs.'" - staff diary from WORLD TOUR (L'facebook)
This section also contains lots of pictures of New York scenery, which I'm skipping for now. There's not as many pictures of the band compared to the individual sections.

LIVE 2: hyde's live pictures
The LIVE book is an opposite of LIFE; pictures are in random order, not organized or labeled, so it's impossible to tell which concert they're taken from. It's dark and chaotic in a good "this is exactly how it feels like after a L'Arc Live" kind of way. These pictures are not marked as "hyde pictures" in the book, it's simply what I chose to scan first.
