So Peoria got hit with at least fifteen inches, and the city came to a complete standstill. While it wasn't the end of the world that some claimed, I was amazed by the amount of denial many people were in on the impact of getting slammed with so much snow in such a short period of time. Awww. What is it with puppies and snow? Most dogs I've read of or have met adore the snow. Rain? Fahgettaboutit. Snow? It's "happy happy joy joy." (This isn't a steadfast law, of course, just a casual observation.)

FWIW, the mall in which I work operates the same way as your small publication firm. :(
