I once saw the hottest mall Santa when shopping with my sister. She said she thought he'd let me sit on his lap if I had a baby with me and offered me hers. I told her I didn't think that would work, but she was insistent. "I think you could sit on his lap, you just couldn't jiggle."
My ex's nickname when he was growing up was "the Old Man" because of how much he preferred reading difficult books and listening to opera to running around outside.
This link shows a picture of what was locally and regionally known as "The Real Santa" Every year, people would stand in line for hours at the flagship store of a local department store chain to sit in "The Tea Room" and have a meal with "Santa". This tradition was so deeply ingrained in the community, that they still do this, even thought the chain and store are long gone. I'll always miss Miller and Rhodes, and the Tea Room, and "the real Santa".
