We have a single "Asian" cherry tree in the front of our house and its amazing.. In full bloom when every other tree is just realizing its Spring.

(My mother seems to recall it being called a "Chinese cherry tree" but I'm not sure if there is such a difference.)

Hanami sounds like something fzks_cub and I would love to do. Another thing I've always wanted to learn more about is the green tea ceremonies. I know almost nothing about the ceremony, other than that is has many different complexities and subtleties, but I've always been intrigued.

Mmm, trip to Japan? Ren Fests? Both sound awesome :D
