[Sunday Sketch] A Day Late And A Cherry Blossom Short
Hey, one more drawing for March. Egad, it spring already?
As a change of pace -- note that I'm not stating whether or not it was SUCCESSFUL -- I decided to try a cherry blossom illustration rather than my comic sketches or drawings of people. Variety is the spice of life, etc., etc.
One of these days, I WILL do hanami -- nytemarewulf and I have wanted to watch the cherry blossoms bloom ever since we started dating. Of course, these plans have always been thwarted in a series of incidents that I call "Ren Faire Syndrome" (after the fact that we've yet to go to a ren faire as something stupid always happens preventing such from happening). Most recently one of the things that we wanted to do once we got to Japan was do hanami but freakishly warm weather caused the cherry blossoms to bloom quite a bit earlier in Japan, meaning by the time we got to Japan we'd missed it all. :: laugh ::
This year? Perhaps, perhaps. I'm wondering if the botanical gardens here HAVE cherry blossoms ...
