... of sorts, anyways -- Israel now recognizes gay marriages from abroad and treats them equal to any other marriage [click]. While gay men and women can't marry in Israel, it's still a huge step, as the rest of the world seems to pass the US behind in this issue ... o_O

That's a bizarre little comic, isn't it? Franco's been dead for over 30 years. Botha's only been dead for a couple weeks, but out of power for 17. It's like calling Iran "the country of the Shah".

I think it's amazing...all these steps bring us closer to the day where I'll be able to marry my man of 12 years. Gotta love those pioneers...I posted this same article on my myspace page...thanks for posting it here...

Heh. I think I just got my Wikinews article for the day. So far this is the only source I can find. Nothing on CNN or the BBC.
