So I went ahead and ordered Dish Network under the belief I could get my international stations -- and apparently the installer guy said that the dish would need to be on the roof to get any signal for internationals, so that's all down the toilet. I was hoping at least Sirius for Carl (so he can get OutQ) would be doable, but they only do the ( Read more... )

You should have asked those out there before you purchased, if it was any good. It's not, never has been, and never will be. They lie to get you hooked into their nasty contract, that is hard to break, and when the weather gets bad, you will not get any reception at all. My folks got sucked into it, and couldn't even get the local news or weather, and when it was a bad thunderstorm or snowing badly, no reception. The switched back to cable as soon as they were able.

That's why the low prices, the cheap installation. Get you hooked, and then your crooked. Even to get better stations, you have to pay more and if you live in an apartment, it's even worse.
