I've read the first arc - twelve issues I think? I like it. I'm not exactly invested in most of the characters but the series is kind of adorable and I want to see what's going to happen next. And I like there is a canon gay couple. I, do, however, wonder why they haven't kissed yet. After the whole kidnapping by war hungry aliens, it really feels

Yeah, ditto in the Billy/Teddy thing. At first I thought that I was just being impatient, and that they didn't need to kiss, but after showing us so many other kisses, I'm so annoyed with the series.

I love Eli so much, and I love it when he yells at Captain America, whom I just don't like for some reason.

If you're looking for recs, and if you have time, I suggest Runaways! It is chock full of wonderful female characters, which is why I like it best. :)

I'm interested in Runaways cos I'm reading the crossover thing. But man I want some Eli/Kate so much.

I don't even ship Billy/Teddy. They're adorable but don't push my buttons. But it's not about the ship it's more about queer representation.

Runaway is pretty damn awesome. I'm not perfectly happy with how the queer characters turned out actually, because I never found Xavin convincing as a genderqueer character rather than a male character who's okay with shapechanging into a girl for the express purpose of his fiancee.

Xavin's the Skrull, thus a shapechanger. He features prominently in the second crossover they have with YA.
