icons and other babling

I have given up on finding an Aeris icon using the original graphic so I settled with this one. Speaking of FF7, I have gotten Yuffie! And am not looking forward to my favorite character dying. I also find Sephiroth highly entertaining and kind of want to pet him like I want to pet my cat ( Read more... )

not a marxist rly, fandom: disney, final fantasy in general, icons/wr otp, my country should have a tag (usa)

Disney has produced some beautiful animated works. Too bad they're evil.

I'd hesitate to call them evil.

lol, well I guess it isn't completely fair to call them evil. They've done some good things like closing down a few of their resorts so some of their employees who lost their homes during the hurricane season of 2004 could stay there. It's just that a couple of my family memebers had dealings with Disney and they just had nothing but terrible experiences.

I think that's a widespread problem in all big companies. Which, yes, Disney does play a huge part in, owning so damn much. But, there is more than one perspective to look at any company. And Disney has a diverse history (much of it hidden) and while much of it is horrible and icky, there's also something good in it as well.

Reading about the Industrial Revolution for my history class fills me with cynicism about the health care debate. These wealthy people owning the factories did all they could to push against the reformers wanting to stop them from posing and killing their workers. These wealthy people remind me of health care insurers and I'm not very hopeful about reform.

I remember some book that was released to combat the worker abuse, but the public was only disgusted by human body parts being in their food.

Speaking of progressive and Disney, are you looking forward to the Princess and the Frog movies? And what are your thoughts on the Tinkerbell movies?

Princess and Frong: Don't fuck up Disney, I want my black princess to be awesome and you know not taking a page out of Aladdin, Pocahontas, and Mulan for racefail.

Have no idea about any info on the Tinkerbell one.

From what I've read, Disney seems to be taking all precautions possible with this movie (They've been consulting with black organizations about it).

THe Tinkerbell movie is the first in a Direct to DVD series that stars the title character and covers her backstory. Actually pretty good.

EEEEEEEEE! Someone else beside is play it now? I just got a PS2 and someone let me borrow it. I'm on my first play though and I need someone to geek with.

Sephiroth is very much the kitty type. I now see why everyone wants the plushie. I ♥ Aeris and I want hey to be my first cosplay. I also ship her more with Tifa than Cloud and I think that makes me alone in the FF7 world...

Yes, I plan to play all the FF games up to ten (maybe twelve). *adds Sephiroth the kitty* to her interests. I actually enjoy any combo of Aeris, Cloud and Tifa though Cloud/Tifa is my favorite.

I've seen some people with icons of original graphics, but I can't for the life of me remember who on my f-list has them still.

I remember just going and messing around for hours because I didn't want to go and let Aeris die.
