I thought the debate was kind of boring (and Tom Brokaw came off a a bit of a knob), but then again I was running around doing errands and was in and out of my car. So I didn't catch everything. But Obama definitely came off better to me just in listening to it. I've read that Obama came off even better in watching it because McCain looked really uncomfortable most the time.
(Needs no reason to talk about S/S!) S/S is excellent because they're the only ones who get the other one to behave like real humans with proper feelings. They're so similar in that way and yet they're approaching from different directions to get to nearly the same place, while still being very much on the metaphorical other side of the mirror from each other.
