Tidus liked Vaan in a KINDRED SPIRIT kinda way. He seemed like a cool, laid back kid that Tidus could easily relate to and he'd probably try to hunt him down when bored to chat with/have retarded adventures with/etc.

It seemed like they had stuff in common, like airships and LOL PRISON LOL, and hey, pirate is a totally awesome occupation (almost as awesome as superstar athlete... almost).

Tidus honestly likes Zidane! He's friendly, cheerful, he's dependable, good in a fight, etc. etc. Tidus trusts Zidane and... I think actually told Yuna on, like, the first day that if she was ever in trouble she should go to Zidane for help because he just knows that Zidane WOULD help, no strings attached. It's always kind of in the back of his mind that he might not be around forever, so it's a relief to know that someone would be there to look out for Yuna (and Rikku, actually). He really hopes that Dagger comes to camp because he wants to see Zidane happy, and then once she gets here they'll immediately all rush the barrier and be victorious and escape together.

He knows that Zidane and Rikku are really close and he's also pretty glad that Rikku had someone like that to look out for her and support her. Also they're all going to visit each others' homes and crash at each others' houses. Also also it's TIDANE.
