Well, I do believe I witnessed the most pathetic kidnapping ever.

Honestly, that was simply disgraceful. You should both be ashamed.

You were kidnapped? By who? Are you alright?

It was more an attempt than an actual kidnapping, and it was an utter failure. I was able to simply walk out the door while they were distracted.

They being that clown and the fire-headed god. Idiots, the pair of them.

Oh, I see... Well, it's good that you're safe! It's not good getting involved with Hades... who knows what he's really capable of..

T-there's been an attempted kidnapping?

If you can even call it that.

And you were able to identify the responsible party?

Easily. Of course, I didn't realize it was a kidnapping at first.

Do tell.

I walked out. I believe that's telling enough.

True, but the best parts of a story are in the details. No point telling the punch line before the joke, as it were. Surely you have more to share.

It was not very exciting. I wanted to find a better place to live and the clown offered to take me somewhere. It turned out he was leading me to that god, Hades. The clown wanted a payment, Hades didn't give him what he wanted. While the clown was throwing a fit and Hades was distracted, I simply slipped out the door.

In my experience, few do it right.

Well, that does not exactly surprise me. Still, this was rather abysmal. You'd think at least a god would do a better job.

...well, sometimes gods lose sight of the details because they're too busy focusing on the big picture. What were they planning on doing with you, anyway?

I really do not know, which is rather unsettling.
