Recovering From Teh Emoo, MCA #4

Feeling so much more cheerful now that the bizarre beast in the park had been defeated, Aziraphale left the box of cookies for whatever squirrels, ducks, what have you might be roaming around the park. Then he headed back home, stashing the frock coat and top hat in the back of the closet, and then settling into the kitchen to cook ( Read more... )

Wilson wasn't quite sure what had happened.

One minute, he'd been curled in the fetal position on the bed, bemoaning the horrible fate awaiting coffee beans everywhere and getting quacked at by the herd of origami ducks and the next, he'd been sitting up and laughing at the antics of their new apartment mates.

Fandom, was truly a strange place.

When he heard Phale return from whereever the angel had been, Wilson finished up cleaning the woundsite and he pattered into the kitchen.

"Hey there, lover mine. Help me with this bandage?"

"Oh, goodness! Of course, love."

Aziraphale set the eggs aside, having not yet started on them, and went to help with Wilson bandage. "How are you feeling?"

Which was partly a question about the shoulder injury, and partly a question about the young doctor's state of mind.

The good news, the stitches looked good and there was no marked redness around the wound site. The bad news...20 some stitches.

"I'm...strangely, feeling kinda good actually." Wilson said a bit perplexed. "Nothing like yesterday, that's for certain. Though, I think I'm still going to give up the pain meds after office hours tomorrow. I don't think I'm reacting well to them."

Wilson made a bit of a face, because he wasn't sure how he was going to end up feeling once he gave up the meds. He knew he should probably stick with them for the full ten days but his sudden mood swings this weekend had him concerned so...he was going to be following Blair's example!

"Er...I rather think this weekend was more due to...other influences, and perhaps not so much because of your pain medicine."

He carefully affixed the bandage, and then brushed a gentle kiss to the edge of his lover's shoulder.

"Apparently there was some sort of creature roaming about town, making everyone sad. It's been dispatched, though."

In fact, someone did feel like dropping in...and look, she brought her own fork. "I smelled something and I thought maybe there was a terrible fire that I had to save you from."

"Well...not a fire so much as a frightening amount of eggs and toast that need desperately to be defeated. But I see you brought along a weapon," Aziraphale replied, turning from the stove with a bright smile. "Do you like cheese on yours, Miss Sciuto?"

Hearing his neighbor's voice, Wilson looked up from where he was resetting his sling.

"Hey there Abs!" He called out cheerfully. "Please, come and egg him on why don't you?"

Winking, he stood up and went to get a large beerstein mug for Abby's Caf-Pow.

"Oh, really?" Abby sighed dramatically and hopped up on the counter. "I guess I'll have to help out with that. I wouldn't want the eggs and toast to get the better of you."

Abby laughed at Wilson and nodded. "Egg him on? See, you're very good at that!"
