You have reached Aziraphale, but I'm afraid I can't take your call at the moment. If you're a student or school faculty calling about a class-related matter, kindly leave your message here.

"Hello Mr. Aziraphale, this is Pippi Longstocking. Cally and I were wondering if you could assist us with a project for Dr. Wilson's class. But we want it to be a surprise. Do you have a free moment tonight and tomorrow at around... Oh anywhere from 11 - 1?"

"Mr. Phale? It's Pippi. Nadia's back to watch Walter and I've got my crystal ball from my room so... I'll just wait for you to call me back and let me know it's okay to come over."

You've reached Aziraphale, but I'm not able to answer the phone. If this is Kiki, and it's an emergency, do say so and I'll call right back. If this is Phoebe, and you're being chased by demons, hold the line. If this is James...press the little button with the star, love. Everyone else, kindly leave a message, and as soon as I'm finished thwarting or smiting I'll get back to you.

"Aziraphale, it's Bel. There's a friend of mine missing and I was wondering if you could help us out. Her name is Marie, don't know if you've met her yet, but she found out she's a mutant last night and freaked out and ran. We're putting together a search party to find her and I thought maybe you and Wilson could help out."

As Aziraphale picks up his voicemail in the morning, he’ll here quiet in the background, a little cough and then Wilson began to read, softly.
”Thou knowest all; I seek in vain What lands to till or sow with seed - The land is black with briar and weed, Nor cares for falling tears or rain. Thou knowest all; I sit and wait With blinded eyes and hands that fail, Till the last lifting of the veil And the first opening of the gate. Thou knowest all; I cannot see. I trust I shall not live in vain, I know that we shall meet again In some divine eternity. Poem: The True Knowledge: by Oscar WildeThere is a brief pause, a sip of tea and then his lover’s voice comes back across the answering machine

Later on in the day of October 31st, a little flickering light on the cell phone indicated that there was, indeed, one more message.
It sounded like static. Kind of an irritating static, too, but in spite of the interference caused by the cell phone's protest at being used as a conduit for magical energy, something came over the line.
On the table before Phale's eyes, a small sparkling of light glimmered, then resolved itself into a tall, slender vase filled with varigated orchids... and one purple avocado on a stick. Around the bouquet fluttered a pair of origami cranes, both wearing perfectly miniscule red bows on their heads and periodically stopping to rest on the blooms. It was an absolutely absurd collection of things to be in a bouquet, a bit silly with a touch of elegance, and unmistakeably Kiki. A well-remembered voice filled the air.
"Happy Birthday! I wish I could have delivered this in person. Wouldn't that have been a good surprise! But I bet you didn't expect this either. You can thank Uncle James for that

A hand-lettered card was dropped into the mailbox or slipped under the door.

"Of course, Miss Longstocking, I'd be happy to help you. I think I can make the free time, if you'll tell me where you'd like me to meet you."
