So *cough* if you haven't heard, I was in attendance at a Lady Gaga concert and basically I think I died about 49 times and was revived each time by the sheer lucid insanity / pure epic nature that is the Gaga. Acoustic Pokerface? Yes, ma'am. Playing piano while standing on the piano bench in ten inch heels in nothing but a leotard and a ( Read more... )

She will be around for a very very long time, and I highly recommend spending the money to go see her. Worth every single cent.

That day I had to work and thought I would get out by noon or so but the lead animator at my work was having me do tons and tons of drawings that I didn't anticipate, but I settled for a fedora. And lots of sparkly shit. And pink tights. And heels.

Moving today just wiped me out! It started hailing as soon as we pulled the U-Haul truck up to the house, aaaggghhh!!! XDDDD

It's so nice that you're settling into your new place. Finally some stability, eh? And just in time for the new year. <3

Yes, yes, seeing Lady Gaga is on my plan of things to do. My friends and I are crazy about her, so it's inevitable that we will see her sometime. Just WHEN is the great question. Haha, once plans are set into motion, you'll be one of the very first people I'd tell. It will accompanied by much squeeing and ASDLKFJSDKJF-ing. XD

Gundam Wing is an anime that I love and will always keep coming back to even if it's been years since the last time I've taken a look.

I have no idea what is considered mecha. I think I've given up and just consider everything with robots in it mecha.

Mecha is hard to classify these days, well I mean to me at the least. I've never watched Code Geass and I never thought about Ghost in the Shell as "mecha." Although, I suppose there's a chance for it.

However, I do consider Full Metal Panic 'mecha.' Though that's only about what I know of that's out now.

Otherwise, mecha to me is Gundamn Wing, Robotech/Macross. Stuff back in the day..Hahaha

It's so different person to person. I try to compare it to when someone classifies something "shojo" or "shounen" and how the lines are being blurred in a way that makes it impossible to categorize some shows. I think back in the day there were firmer categories, but they're really utilizing the medium to go out on a limb.

Ah, Gundam Wing <333333. Maybe I'll pick up my old Macross VHS tapes (I'm old) and give it another go. Exciting!

I have to agree, back in the day the categories were certainly more set. Yet, I still do like how they do utilize more than one now, it's just I've yet gone around to check others out. I'm awfully too in love with the old stuff and don't mind reliving it!

Macross on VHS oh man, haha. That's amazing. I actually purchased the DVD set a while back and never got around to watching it because my older friend 'borrowed' it for several months. I did get it back, but was too busy. My older brother then took it. Fantastic, haha!

Enjoy! :D
