I didn't want to post this yesterday, lest anyone think I was April foolin': I've been accepted to BADA!!!!! I will totally be hanging out in Oxford learning theatre for an entire month! Possibly from Fiona Shaw or someone like that
( Read more... )
It may be BADA but it sounds pretty GOODA. (oh God I can't believe I went there, please end my life)
This sounds like an absolutely fantastic opportunity and I am rather pleased to read you got in. Jokes about perpetual rain aside, the English countryside is gorgeous in summertime, and I'm certain it's all more cosmopolitan than Evanston or Rockland County, heh. If the names associated with them in the past are any indication you should have a fine run of things. (Although be warned, if Alan Rickman shows up and you get to meet him I shall become jealous and surly.)
Educate us on how they audition people (in person, I'm assuming) across the country for one program (in another country no less). Was there some central Chicago audition all interested parties in the area went to, or private meetings? Same judges touring different cities, or is it a regional thing? I confess I never gave the matter any thought till just now, heh.
Now, ahem. When you get a minute? The geek in me needs to tell you to get involved with the English boffer LARP scene. There's a game run out of Oxford specifically that's fantastic, and you should totally get in on that. If you're interested.
