Yes, but gaming the system. GAMING THE SYSTEM. It's awesome though, because Amazon's algorithms love a winner, so I always see a sales boost and junk come out of whatever multi-author coordinated attack upon the charts we are staging this month. I'm a NYT bestseller! I got it on a technicality, but I got it! AND NO ONE CAN TAKE IT AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEE
Congratulations on the amazon ranking! I'll have to give some of your stuff a look when I get a chance.
On a side note, I'm really glad to see you back. I haven't checked most of my communities for awhile, so finding your posts on my friends list was a very pleasant surprise. I was worried when after you disappeared off tumblr but felt you were probably pulling back for a reason. I'm glad to hear you're doing better, and I wish nothing but the best for your family. ♥
I'm amazed how many people are just sort of logging on after being gone for a while... I think this time of year inspires a sort of nostalgia. It's cold and stressful and LJ was a nice little safeplace hugbox.
I knitted for a while in my teens, but never bothered to progress beyond scarves because looking at my mom's patterns made my eyes cross.
I've only been on a proper train once but it was for three days so I feel qualified in saying I LOVE TRAINS they are great; I'm also very fond of the intracity Skytrain and other forms of public transportation, what with not having a car for the last five years.
Well done with the successful manipulation of the system, I didn't know that was possible and am duly impressed. *_*
Short row heels can be hard, but you just need to keep trying, because they look really nice once you got it right. Although, I've never had to wrap the stitch twice, you can prolly skip that.
It's really not the short row, I think I've done it once before... it's THE WRAPS. THE WRAPS. But I have haxx0red my knitting with a tiny crochet hook so go me.

You're beating out JK Rowling and Jodi Piccoult. Also Neil Gaiman.
*STARES*
That is so cool!
